Ingredients

  • 4–6 Vanajan crisp rolls (oat, whole grain, rye or wheat)
  • 1 small onion
  • 2 tbsp olive oil + a bit extra for drizzling
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 5 ripe tomatoes
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • Fresh basil leaves

Instructions

  • Prepare the tomato topping: Dice the tomatoes into small pieces and place them in a bowl. Add finely chopped onion, chopped basil, and olive oil. Season the mixture with a pinch of salt and freshly ground black pepper. Let it sit for a moment to develop flavors.
  • Prepare the garlic oil: Crush the garlic and mix it with olive oil.
  • Toast the crisp rolls: Place Vanajan crisp rolls on a baking sheet and toast them in the oven at 200°C for 3–5 minutes, until they are warm and lightly toasted.
